A Macau-based businessman has increased his stake in the struggling ASX-listed casino operator The Star Entertainment Group.
Company filings show that Wang Xingchun has quickly become The Star’s second-largest shareholder, amassing about 6.52 per cent of the stock since September last year.
His most recent purchase was on January 10, which The Star disclosed to investors this morning.
At today’s prices, Mr Xinghchun’s shares are worth about $27 million.
